I knew early on that oral health was my passion. I landed my first job in dentistry as a senior in high school and never looked back. I completed my dental hygiene education and training through Phoenix College in 2010. With a love for learning, I furthered my education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene through Northern Arizona University. As a dental hygienist, I would often see reoccurring dental problems with little to no resolution such as TMJ pain, teeth grinding, malocclusion, mouth breathing, etc. I was unaware that all of these problems could somehow be connected to a common root cause. It was through continuing education courses that I was introduced to the world of oromyofunctional therapy and all the benefits it can provide. This is how I discovered that my own daughter’s teeth grinding habit was in fact a sign of airway obstruction. My daughter's oromyofunctional disorder (OMD) is what propelled me into my oromyofunctional journey. I LOVE my career in dentistry and still practice clinically but now with a focus of improving both oral health AND overall health.
While I'm not technically a native, I grew up in the Phoenix area and absolutely love what Arizona has to offer. The Grand Canyon State will always be my home. I currently reside in Central Phoenix with my husband, Brandon, and our beautiful twin daughters. I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, hiking, traveling, and always learning as a lifetime student.
